1	When should I arrive in Colombia? On Monday May 25th.
2	How many airports are there in Colombia? Bogotá has only one airport called "El Dorado International Airport", Medellin has two: Olaya Herrera Airport, which handles domestic flights and José María Córdova International Airport located one hour away from Medellin.
3	Will transportation from the airport to the hotel be provided by the event organizers? No,you must arrange your own; keep in mind that the number of taxis decreases significantly late at night (11:00pm, 12:00am, etc.). Safe transport is nonetheless available. 4	What is the currency in Colombia? The Colombian peso. $1,000 Columbian pesos are approximately equivalent to $0.40 USD. $2,300 pesos = USD 1 dollar.
5	Should I bring my laptop? Yes.
6	Are there mandatory vaccinations for traveling to Colombia? Required: No, although the yellow fever vaccine is recommended at least 15 days prior to departure.
7	Will there be simultaneous interpretation? Yes. There will be simultaneous interpretation in Spanish, English and Portuguese in the plenary hall and selected workshops.
8	What is the dress code? Casual (business casual). Bear in mind that the weather is warm.
9	What food is included at the event? Lunch and coffee breaks.
10	Will there be transportation from the event to the hotel and vice versa? Yes, but only for the hotels recommended on this website and at specific times. Request information in your hotel lobby.
11	What is the venue? National University of Medellin, College of Mining.
12	Can I attend the event with a guest? The Academy Conference LatAm 2015 sessions are only for those who are explicitly invited. If you wish to bring a guest to dinner on Wednesday, you should settle (pay) USD180. Thank you for taking this information into consideration and informing us about your decision in advance.

14	Should I send pictures of my school in advance? Yes.
15	What is the type of power plug used in Colombia and what is the voltage? Throughout Colombia, household electricity is 110 volts AC at 60 Hz (110V AC, 60Hz).
16	How much does a taxi from Rionegro airport to the city of Medellin cost? A taxi from Rionegro airport (Aeropuerto Internacional José María Córdova [José María Córdova International Airport].) costs about USD 30; remember to exchange dollars for the local currency before going to the city. (Colombian peso).
17	Can I use USD in Colombia? You can pay with USD in very few places, so we recommend changing dollars at the airport.
